  • Spring Boot and Angular are two of my favorite projects, so I figured I’d write y’all a guide to show you how to build and secure a basic app using their latest and greatest releases.
  • You’ll also learn how to secure your application using Okta’s Spring Boot starter and Angular SDK.
  • Add a   class (in  ) that returns a list of cool cars to display in the Angular client.
  • If you restart your server app and hit   with your browser, or a command-line client, you should see the filtered list of cars.
  • To enable CORS on the server, add a   annotation to the  add it to   so you can communicate with its endpoints when the server, refresh the client, and you should see the list of cars in your browser.

  • In “Source Location” paste the angular-seed clone URL that you’ve just copied, then on the “Target Directory” field type in or browse to the folder that you want to store the repository in on your local machine.
  • In the browser type in the http://localhost:8000, you will see that angular-seed is hosted on the web server – – angular-seed is an AngularJS application skeleton template.
  • In the command line navigate to the angular-seed git in your local machine, then type “npm install” without the double quotes.

  • At the core of any Angular application is a set of components that need to communicate effectively to track and share state and send notifications.
  • In this course, Angular Component Communication, you will learn numerous techniques for communicating between the components and other parts of an application.
  • First, you will learn how a component communicates with its template, including binding, getters and setters, input and output properties, and the ViewChild decorator.
  • Next, you will examine how to build services as an intermediary for communication between components and how to broadcast notifications from services using a Subject or BehaviorSubject.
  • When you are finished with this course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the many different ways for component communication so you can apply the most effective techniques for your application.

  • The default file that is responsible for bootstrapping our Angular application uses those environment files to determine whether the app is running production mode, in order to apply some runtime optimizations such as calling .
  • The reason is that at compile time, the Angular CLI will take care of renaming the environment specific configuration file into and to compile it into your app accordingly.
  • Just create a new and **make sure to configure it in your file: – – Finally, we need to tell the CLI which environment we’re building for, s.t. it is able to pick up the proper configuration file.
  • Normally you simply have some JSON file – say that contains the necessary configuration options which you then deploy with your app on your server.
  • My environment specific files come either from the backend API (i.e. the database or server environment variables), or they can be placed as , , along with my other code.

  • The Ionic tinder card swipe feature is a highly request UI behaviour and my previous post about the use of it with Ionic 1 was very popular.
  • Follow along this post to get your own Ionic 2+ tinder cards or swipeable cards for your next app using the Angular 2 swing package from Kapil Sachdeva.
  • Using the Angular 2 Swing library with Ionic to achieve Tinder cards is quite easy, thanks again to Kapil who reacted very fast to a request from my side and added more features to the library!
  • Maybe this post inspires the Ionic team to revive their old Tinder cards component, which good a lot of positive feedback from people back than.
  • Until we got an official Ionic tinder card component, this approach is a good alternative and quite easy to customise for your needs!

  • Type “md \data\db”Now that the data directory has been created you can run MongoDB with command “mongod”If you get a Windows firewall alert click on the “Allow access” buttonYou now have MonoDB running on port 27017, to stop MongoDB type Ctrl+C .
  • Pretty simple right, compared to other databases MongoDB is a lot more simple to setup.

  • The JavaScript-based front-end app framework AngularJS is expected to get one more significant release this year.
  • AngularJS has recently been pushed aside in favor of its successor, Angular, however, the Angular team realizes many developers still rely on AngularJS and does not plan to abandon the framework.
  • “We understand that many developers are still using AngularJS, and that the migration process to Angular takes time and energy, but we also are aware that developers want clarity on the future AngularJS development plans,” the team wrote in a post.
  • As a result, the team is currently working on AngularJS 1.7.
  • Our data indicates that the majority of AngularJS developers are not adopting the latest version updates, so the transition to LTS will be inconsequential to those developers,” the team wrote.

  • Angular will still be a first-class citizen, but AngularJS will be excluded from the main project (you will still be able to use AngularJS as an external “blueprint”, which is a new system that will be published with JHipster 5).
